Early 1960's - Naga City Chamber of Commerce and Industry established with Dr. Heracleo Guballa as the acknowledged founder and first president.

1967 - Mr. Benjamin Ravanera takes over as president. The Chamber, then, appears to have become inactive and there are no records of activities.

1986 - Mr. Leopoldo Andal, with 20 business leaders, revives the Chamber. He was then an active member of the Albay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was temporarily assigned to head a commercial bank in Naga. Mr. Andal served as president until 1987 when he was recalled to Legazpi City as manager of the same bank.

1987 - Mr. Adolfo Olivan, who was among those who revived the Chamber, takes over as president and serves for two terms. Chamber membership increases to 85. BBDFI, the first foundation under the auspices of the Chamber, is organized.

1989 - Mr. Antonio Concepcion elected as President. He serves four terms. The Chamber opens its doors to other business associations, taking them in as sectoral or affiliate members, thus, increasing the organization's membership base and strengthening the Chamber's image as the umbrella organization of business.
