LOCAL EMPLOYMENT REFERRAL PROCESS


Guide for Applicants

STEP 1
Please submit the following requirements to the CEC Staff in-charge:

a) Curriculum vitae with 2x2 picture
b) Transcript of Records or graduation certificate (Form 138 for high school graduates)
c) Police/NBI/Barangay Clearance
d) Extra picture, preferably 1x1
e) Training certificates, if any
f) Employment certificate, if any

(Prepare a complete set of requirements. Put them inside a folder and DO NOT FOLD. Remember these papers will speak a lot about you.)

STEP 2
Fill up the Applicant's Data Card. Write clearly. Be sure to put your telephone number. If you do not have a telephone, provide a contact number and the name of the person who can accept the call for you.
(This is important, you may miss your chance of being hired for immediate positions if you do not have this phone number. Employers may just interview or hire other applicants if you lose contact.)

STEP 3
Choose 1 or 2 positions from the list of vacancies in the Job Opportunities Bulletin Series (JOBS) based on your qualification.

STEP 4
You will undergo an interview with a CEC Staff for about 5 minutes. (Career counseling services is also available)

STEP 5
Wait for the Referral Letter/s to be given to you within 5 minutes. While waiting, you can read the Employability Enhancement articles posted on the CEC bulletin board. These materials will help you in your job hunting.

STEP 6
Attach the Referral Letter to your curriculum vitae and other documents. One set of requirements is required per referral. Bring these papers to the company you wish to apply to. You will have to make a follow up on your application.

STEP 7
Copy or memorize your application number written on the left upper corner of your data card and the date of submission of requirements. You will need this information for your next referral.

STEP 8
After 6 months, you will renew your data card if you still want to avail of the referral service. Bring a new set of requirements.

STEP 9
List of job vacancies is updated every Monday. You may come back on the next Monday to avail another referral letter. We encourage you to follow up your application before asking another referral from the Metro Naga PESO.

Succeeding Referral

STEP 1
Please ask for a Referral Form and fill it up with the necessary information.

STEP 2
You will have an interview with a CEC Employment Officer.

STEP 3
Wait for the referral letter to be issued and attach it to your set of requirements.

STEP 4
Proceed to the company.


Guide for Employers

STEP 1
Referral of applicants to employers is FREE OF CHARGE. Employers may call at telephone numbers 472-82-74/811-82-31 or may visit Metro PESO to post job vacancies. The following details will be asked by the CEC staff before the job vacancies will be included in the weekly list:
a) name and address of company;
b) person to whom the referral letter will be addressed;
c) contact number/company's phone number;
d) brief description of the company/nature of business (If possible, please provide a copy of the company's profile or brochure);
e) job vacancies/positions;
f) number of persons to be hired;
g) nature of job/area of assignments;
h) qualifications requirements of the applicants; and
i) list of necessary papers to be submitted by applicants.
( The job vacancies will then be included in the weekly list of vacancies. Copies of this list will be distributed to the different barangays, schools, radio stations in Naga City and Public Employment Service Offices in neighboring municipalities.)

STEP 2
CEC staff will then match applicants' qualifications with the employer's set standard. If applicants will meet the employer's criteria, CEC staff will then send applicants to the company's office. They will bring with them the PESO referral letter and other pertinent documents.

STEP 3
Employers then may decide whether the applicants will be hired or not.

STEP 4
Employers are encouraged to inform the CEC staff regarding the placement of applicants. If this is not possible, the CEC staff will then call the employer and inquire about the placement of applicants.

STEP 5
During Thursdays or Fridays, the CEC staff will call the employers and inquire whether the vacancies have been filled up or will still be included in the following week's list of vacancies.
(Employers may have the option to come to Metro PESO personally, browse the applicants' data cards and choose applicants whom they wish to interview.)
