The Naga City Public Library, in cooperation with LIBRO PARA SA FUTURO and Jollibee-Naga, has successfully celebrated the 2nd Annual Childrens Bookfest held at the Naga City Youth Center last December 10-11, 2003.

During the opening day, storytellers were headed by the energetic and supportive wife of Mayor Jesse M. Robredo, Atty Leni Robredo and, for the first time, with the School Superintendent Dr. Nenita Ramos. Other guests are: Dr. Malu Barcillano, Director for Center for Local Governance, Ateneo De Naga University, Ms. Lida Rustia from Adarna House.

Heading the second-day program, is the very supportive Mrs. Bernadette Roco, wife of Congressman Sulpicio S. Roco, with other storytellers- Ms. Pacencia Tabinas, City Accountant, Ms. Goyena Grageda, former teacher and wife of Councilor Joe Grageda.



The program starts with a Bookfair at the opening gate of the Naga City Youth Center, Adarna House and CLC bookstore, participated in the program.



It was a two-days fun filled with games and memorable experiences for the child combined with more than a usual guests performing teh role as teacher enouraging everyone to read.

So the next time, the Naga City Public Library conducts this annual program, be there, with your Child.
