 Thanks to karl Llorin's boasts ,that somehow opened up some information on some aspects and direction on the Ateneo de Naga  University.

 I may pose this unsolicited query to  the members of the  Board:  If for whatever reasons any moment , that you realize a  particular department or any individual in the group's structure is no longer  living up to the  goals and direction of the university , and still wasting a lot of resources that could have been better off channeled elsewhere to improve assets,( whether tangible or intangible),  what shoul be the right course  to be undertaken  immediately?

 Naturally, common sense dictates for either its Dissolution, Absorption or Merger with any other relevant groups witch has similar functions or scope of responsibilities.
 
And  for the specific individual that pose a drag to  the institution's missions , contrary to what he has been hired to do in the first place, he should be  handed out  his walkout papers.!

The Ateneo has a never ending  fund  campains  from its alumni and friends,  to support its operations. These campaigns are even ably supported y by its alumni abroad , mostly in the west coast of the USA where there are  several of  these organizations. Same  also in the Midwest.

 A big chunk of these funds go a long way to support the budget of its overhead.
 
But  these elaborate funds campaign will never perk up assets , as some of the generated funds , are being absorbed by not so relevant support departments. Just take a look at the university's organizational structure to  better know what this is,

Why not closely scrutinize their specific contribution  and production to the institution and act accordingly?

 There is no room for creating these excess layers of fats and bureaucracy. Trim down the operational structure to the very essentials, as  this will lead  to a more  operational efficiency with much better  control and usage of funds.

just want to comment about this thread... Shocked

me...as an Atenean...believes that Ateneo is not wasting its resources and funds to effective departments or offices...

Could you (ms tatjana) please cite some examples of departments and offices in Ateneo that inefficient and does live up to goals of the university...?

Ateneo has fund campaigns so that the university will be able to effectively  and efficiently serve its employees and especially the students....

and so that the school will be able to provide better services to them...

Their offices and departments have their own purpose and goals that they know will live up to the mission of the school....


Ateneo aims in continuing its response to growing demands of the society.... Cheesy

Sorry emore . but it's not in me to give unsolicited advice. Much more if its for free.. But just to give you a hint,( it's very glaring anyway), How about the office of Goebbels LLorin for a start?

Does Ateneo really needs nowadays  a media relations ofice which doubles as a" recruitment office", which entices  would be  enrollees to enter the four pillars, and by doing so get themselves enrolled?. Can you name a school which  has a similar office like this?. Next time. why don't you sit down with boy Paca..... , and study it by yourselves.? Maybe your boss will be enlightened.

 Oh lots and lots of bureaucracy!!!!!

It's raining of Administrative assistants!  Presidential assistants!, Council of elders!. Council of research, council of etcheteras! ,  and oh so many Interwined offices.!! What are all these guys doing? Lots of excess, EXCESS and unwanted Fats. Its causing us   dizziness.  Wonder how they muster to admit their duties and responsibilities., and who to report to who?.  Much absorbing good  alumni money for nothing good in  return , just sowing great confusion.

Gosh. It'll just show that the Prexy can leave the country foran  indeterminate period of time as  he wishes and leave all operations to all these etcheteras. But most of all ,it goes to show that he is unattached to reality and solely rely to what he hears from these erchetras departments heads!.

maray man an mga obserbasyon mo tatjana, kaya lang dapat garo i konsiderar mo nuna an ibang bagay bagay arog kan sinasabi mong EXCESS sa ADNU. igwa ka tabi nin basehan na pwedeng gibuhon na benchmark or standard para masabi ta na EXCESS man nanggad ang mga departments offices mga kataohan dyan sa ADNU. yan man sana sako, pero padagus mo an saimong mga obserbasyon, lugod sa sunod suportahan mo nin basehan para dai man ma mislead mga tao igdi
